By Tika Prasad Regmi

Yes, there is wi-fi available on Everest Base Camp Trek but they are only in the lodge. There are 2 Internet Service Providers in Everest Region.

Airlink has its services at many locations on the trek to Everest base Camp. You can stay connected every day and update your journey with your family members or friends. Note that this service is not available on the trail.  It is available only in the lodges where you will spend a night.

Everest Link is another ISP in the Everest region which is available after Namche Bazaar till Gorekshep. Its service is available hourly basis. It has a prepaid card which you can buy at the shops or lodges at Namche.

Note that there is no wifi available at the Everest base camp but you can still use a phone network so you can call your family members if you want to. You can use the guide's phone and pay him whatever it costs. Ncell and NTC both work at the base camp but just phone no internet data

Internet access will also be available on famous treks like Annapurna, Langtang, Kanchenjunga, and more, offering you the ability to stay connected while exploring these incredible regions.
