Overview

The Everest Base Helicopter tour is an exhilarating and scenic journey that allows participants to witness the breathtaking beauty of the Everest region, including the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. Helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp departs from the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. It is always in the morning because generally morning weather is always during the best season and the afternoon gets a bit cloudy.

Trek Ways Nepal’s Heli Tour to Everest Base Camp including Kalapatther starts at 6 AM from your hotel. Our driver will come to pick you up and transfer to the domestic terminal. At the main entrance gate, a Helicopter guy will meet you and take you inside to do check-in formalities. After getting a boarding pass you will have to wait some time. Heli staff take you to a van for a helipad. As soon as the Pilot gets the signal, he will take off and then fly towards North East. Following the route over the farm terrace, villages, hills, forest, and far north the Himalayas range. Finally, the helicopter will reach Lukla airport where many domestic flights operate.  Lukla is known as the gateway to Everest as many trekkers start their journey to Everest region from here.

After 10 minutes of landing in Lukla to refill the fuel, the helicopter will take off again and fly over the Dudhkoshi Valley to Everest. Fly above Namche Bazzar, Tengboche, Pheiche, Lobuche and Everest Base Camp. It makes a circle around above the Everest base camp and lands over Kalapatther for 7-10 minutes. By the time you are allowed to come out for the photos and videos. Then helicopter will take off and fly toward Everest View Hotel where it lands for 40 minutes. You can get into the hotel by walking from the Helipad (4-minute walk) and enjoy the view of the Himalayas including Mount Everest. By that time you can order breakfast to enjoy or just have tea/coffee. Finally, the helicopter will take you back to Lukla to fill the fuel and fly to Kathmandu. Once you arrive at Kathmandu airport our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Besides the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, Trek ways Nepal offers similar tour package to Helicopter tour to Langtang  and Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour. You can have the choice and also let us know if you have any other preferences. We are here at your service. Happy time;
