Nagi Gumba is one of the most peaceful hiking destinations on the northern edge of Kathmandu Valley. Located inside Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, this beautiful Buddhist nunnery is surrounded by dense forest, fresh mountain air, and stunning views of Kathmandu Valley. The hike is ideal for families, beginners, nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking a short escape from the city's busy life. Along the trail, you can enjoy birdsong, peaceful pine forests, and a calm atmosphere before reaching the monastery, where visitors are requested to maintain silence and respect the spiritual environment. Nagi Gumba is also a great place for meditation and relaxation. The route from Panimuhan (Muhan Pokhari), Budhanilkantha, to Nagi Gumba is one of the park's most popular short hiking trails.
