The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most iconic and popular trekking routes in Nepal, offering an extraordinary combination of natural beauty, cultural diversity, and high-altitude adventure. This classic Himalayan journey takes trekkers through some of the most dramatic landscapes in the world, ranging from lush subtropical forests and terraced farmlands to alpine meadows, rocky mountain terrain, and snow-covered passes.
One of the highlights of the Annapurna Circuit Trekking route is its incredible geographical variation. The trail circles the Annapurna Massif and gradually ascends through changing ecosystems, passing charming villages, deep river valleys, and ancient trade routes. After crossing the famous Thorong La Pass (5,416 meters), the highest point of the trek, trekkers descend into the spectacular Kaligandaki Valley, which is home to the world’s deepest gorge between the towering peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. This section of the journey provides breathtaking panoramic views and an unforgettable sense of achievement.
The Around Annapurna trekking experience is not only about landscapes but also about rich cultural immersion. The trail passes through traditional villages inhabited by diverse ethnic communities such as the Gurung, Magar, Thakali, and Manangi people. These communities preserve their unique traditions, language, and lifestyle, offering trekkers a rare opportunity to experience authentic Himalayan culture. Along the route, you will also encounter ancient monasteries, Buddhist stupas, and sacred Gumbas, reflecting the deep spiritual heritage of the region.
One of the most memorable aspects of the trek is interacting with local people. Life in the mountains is simple yet deeply connected to nature and community. You can hear villagers communicating across fields, from one house to another or between farms, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. Spending time with local children and elderly people provides meaningful cultural exchange and a deeper understanding of their daily lifestyle. Many teahouses and lodges are family-run, and trekkers are often welcomed into the kitchen to observe traditional Nepali cooking, adding a personal touch to the journey.
The Annapurna Circuit Trek with Trek Ways Nepal is designed to ensure comfort, safety, and a hassle-free experience. The full-board package includes meals selected from lodge menus, comfortable teahouse accommodations, and an experienced government-licensed trekking guide. A porter service is provided on a 1:2 ratio (one porter for every two trekkers), ensuring ease of travel with your main luggage.
The package also includes essential trekking permits such as the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) and TIMS card, along with transportation arrangements, a quality down jacket, sleeping bag, duffel bag, and a detailed Annapurna trekking route map. These inclusions ensure trekkers are fully equipped and well-supported throughout the journey.

Upon your arrival, our friendly guide will welcome you at the airport with a name sign, assist you with your luggage, and escort you comfortably to your booked hotel. At the end of your trip, we will also arrange your airport transfer according to your scheduled departure time, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey.
Meals
During the Annapurna Circuit Trek, all meals are included and arranged by Trek Ways Nepal to ensure a comfortable trekking experience. Trekkers can choose their meals directly from the lodge menu, which offers a variety of options each day. For better health and safety at higher altitudes, we highly recommend vegetarian meals, as they are generally fresher and easier to digest. If you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies, please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Accommodation
Accommodation on the Annapurna Circuit Trek is thoughtfully arranged by Trek Ways Nepal to ensure your comfort throughout the journey. The package includes 2 nights of hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on a twin-sharing basis before and after the trek. During the trek, you will stay in comfortable local teahouse lodges, offering an authentic Himalayan experience. Attached bathrooms and hot showers are generally available up to Manang and again in Muktinath. After completing the trek, enjoy a relaxing stay in a 3-star deluxe hotel in Pokhara. If you prefer luxury accommodations, we are happy to arrange upgraded options at an additional cost.
Bag / Luggage
For the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Trek Ways Nepal provides a waterproof duffel bag for your main luggage, which will be carried by a porter throughout the trek. We recommend bringing a small 30L daypack to carry your daily essentials such as water, snacks, camera, and extra layers. Any extra luggage or suitcase can be safely stored at your hotel in Kathmandu or at the Trek Ways Nepal office during your trek.
Communication Facilities
During the Annapurna Circuit Trek, communication facilities are available along most parts of the route. Many teahouses offer Wi-Fi services for a small additional fee, allowing you to stay connected with family and friends or share your trekking experience. Mobile network coverage is also available in many areas, with Nepal Telecom (NTC) and Ncell providing the most reliable connectivity throughout the trek, although service may be limited in some remote high-altitude sections.
Our Role in Preventing Altitude Sickness
During the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Trek Ways Nepal prioritizes your safety by implementing strong measures to minimize the risk of altitude sickness. We follow a carefully planned gradual ascent with proper acclimatization days, particularly in Manang, to help your body adjust to higher elevations.
Our experienced guides continuously monitor trekkers’ health and provide timely guidance and support whenever needed. We also advise trekkers to stay well-hydrated, avoid alcohol and caffeine, and maintain a high-carbohydrate diet for better energy and adaptation. In addition, trekkers are briefed on early symptoms of altitude sickness and encouraged to report any discomfort immediately, ensuring a safe, well-managed, and enjoyable high-altitude trekking experience in Nepal.
Climb High, Sleep Low
During the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Trek Ways Nepal follows the essential “climb high, sleep low” principle to support safe and effective acclimatization. This approach involves trekking to higher elevations during the day and returning to a lower altitude for overnight rest, allowing your body to gradually adapt to decreasing oxygen levels.
Our experienced guides also organize short acclimatization hikes above the lodge before descending back for the night. This proven strategy significantly reduces the risk of altitude sickness and helps ensure a safer, healthier, and more enjoyable high-altitude trekking experience in Nepal.

I joined my son in late May 26 to hike the Annapurna circuit culminating in ascending Therong La - organised and managed by Trek Ways Nepal. Such a special journey better than I had imagined. We were accompanied by Pramod our guide and Kumar our porter. Kumar came as a most welcome addition that we both hadn't appreciated was joining us, without his assistance, the hike would have been much more difficult. Having spent a couple of days in Kathmandu and been given an excellent tour of this magical place by Menuka one of Trek Ways guides we set for Chame by jeep to begin the main event. Pramod was the most attentive patient and informative guide you could have wished for. He knew what to say, how to assist, when to get more involved when to stay back and watch, not surprisingly, as he has guided groups with Trek Ways for over 18 years. Pramod managed the itinerary with helpful flexibility when needed with extra time being taken to stay in Manang to acclimatise to increasing altitude. I wouldn't do the trek justice by trying to describe the journey - there's only one way to get that experience!! Tika Regmi heads up Trek Ways Nepal he's a master organiser decent, honest individual that's always one step ahead. If you have ever considered visiting Nepal check out Tika and Trek Ways.

I completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek at the beginning of May, and it was truly one of the most exciting and beautiful experiences I’ve ever had. I was traveling solo, which was no problem, and everything worked out perfectly with the help of Trek Ways Nepal a local company from start to finish, which made the whole trek very enjoyable and stress-free. The route itself is absolutely stunning, with incredible landscapes and breathtaking mountain views every single day. What made the experience even more special was my guide, who could always explain the mountains and peaks we were looking at and share interesting information about the region. It added so much to the trek and made the journey feel even more immersive. I can highly recommend the Annapurna Circuit to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in Nepal with Trek Ways Nepal Team. Speak with Tika Regmi, who will answer your every question patiently.
