Curfew in Kathmandu Following Zen G Protest

Kathmandu is currently under an uncertain curfew imposed by the Government of Nepal after yesterday’s tragic incident during the Zen G protest, in which several young people lost their lives and many others were injured. To ensure safety and prevent further unrest, authorities have restricted movement across major points of the city, especially within the Ring Road area.

The government has urged everyone to stay indoors, walk safe, and avoid unnecessary travel. While daily life is temporarily disrupted, these measures are intended to bring stability and protect communities from further harm.

For international and domestic travelers, the government is preparing special plans for airport shuttles to make sure tourists and passengers can reach Tribhuvan International Airport without major difficulties. Travelers are advised to stay in close contact with their airlines, hotels, or tour operators for the latest updates.

This is a sensitive and difficult moment for Nepal. Our thoughts are with the families affected, and we encourage everyone to follow official announcements, remain cautious, and prioritize safety.

Trek Ways Nepal prioritizes its customers' safety. So we have paused our city tour program today.
