Early in the morning, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will be warmly welcomed by your experienced local guide, who will accompany you throughout the journey until the Nepal border. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check-in and rest after the flight. In the evening, enjoy a gentle stroll around Lhasa to get your first impression of this historic city. After breakfast, enjoy a full day guided sightseeing tour of Lhasa, exploring its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. We begin with a visit to the magnificent Potala Palace, the iconic winter residence of the Dalai Lama and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its stunning architecture and panoramic views over the city.
 

Next, we proceed to the sacred Jokhang Temple, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Tibetan Buddhism. Located in the heart of Lhasa, it attracts devotees from across the region and offers deep insight into Tibetan spiritual traditions. From here, we explore the vibrant Barkhor Bazaar, a bustling market surrounding the temple, where you can experience local life, shop for souvenirs, and witness traditional Tibetan culture up close.
 

In the afternoon, if time permits, we continue our exploration with visits to the famous Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in Tibet, and Sera Monastery, well known for its lively monk debates and spiritual learning atmosphere.

After a rewarding day of cultural discovery, we return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Lhasa.

Today we begin an exciting overland journey from Lhasa to Shigatse, covering approximately 360 km, passing through some of Tibet’s most spectacular landscapes. After breakfast, we drive along scenic mountain roads with stunning Himalayan views.
 

On the way, we make a special stop at the breathtaking Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s three sacred lakes. Its turquoise-blue waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks offer an unforgettable photo opportunity and a peaceful spiritual atmosphere. We then continue the journey towards the majestic Karo La Glacier, located at an altitude of over 5,000 meters. Here, you can enjoy close-up views of the massive glacier flowing down from the mountains right beside the highway.
 

As we descend gradually, the landscape changes into wide valleys and traditional Tibetan settlements. We continue driving through beautiful countryside until we reach the historic city of Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet and home to the famous Tashilhunpo Monastery.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and rest after the long but scenic drive. Overnight stay at a hotel in Shigatse.

After breakfast in Shigatse, we begin the journey towards the North Everest Base Camp, covering a total distance of approximately 340 km. Before departing, we visit the historic Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama, known for its impressive architecture, giant statues, and deep spiritual significance.
 

After the monastery visit, we continue our scenic drive through the vast Tibetan plateau, passing remote villages, open valleys, and high mountain landscapes. Along the way, we enjoy spectacular views of the Himalayan range, including distant glimpses of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. As we approach the Everest region, the road gradually climbs higher into rugged terrain, offering increasingly dramatic scenery. Eventually, we reach the Everest Base Camp (North Side) area, one of the most iconic high-altitude destinations in the world, located close to the foot of Mount Everest.
 

Upon arrival, we check in at a basic but comfortable guesthouse, where we spend the night. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, weather permitting. This overnight stay near Everest provides a truly unforgettable experience in the heart of the Himalayas.

After an early morning at the Everest region, if the weather permits, you can enjoy a spectacular sunrise view over Mount Everest from a distance—one of the highlights of the journey. Following breakfast, we begin our scenic drive back towards Saga, covering a total distance of approximately 500 km.
 

The route takes us once again across the vast Tibetan plateau, passing through high mountain landscapes, open valleys, and remote nomadic settlements. Along the way, you will experience the raw beauty of the Himalayan wilderness, with dramatic views of snow-capped peaks and endless horizons. This long but rewarding drive offers plenty of opportunities to appreciate the unique terrain of Tibet. We gradually descend in elevation as we approach the town of Saga, an important stopover for travelers in the region.

Upon arrival in Saga, you will check into a comfortable hotel and have time to rest after the journey. The evening is free to relax and recover, preparing for the next stage of the adventure. Overnight stay at Saga.

Today marks one of the most sacred and unforgettable days of the journey as we drive from Saga to the holy Lake Manasarovar, covering a total distance of approximately 450 km. The route takes us deeper into the remote and spiritual landscapes of Tibet, passing vast open plains, mountain valleys, and dramatic high-altitude scenery.  As we travel through this sacred region, the anticipation builds for the first glimpse of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, two of the most revered pilgrimage sites in the world for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers. The journey itself is peaceful and spiritual, offering a deep sense of connection with nature and devotion.
 

Upon arrival at Lake Manasarovar, you will witness the breathtaking turquoise waters lying peacefully beneath the shadow of distant Himalayan peaks. From here, we also enjoy the divine first darshan of Mount Kailash, believed to be the spiritual center of the universe.

We check in at a nearby resort and spend the evening absorbing the serene atmosphere. This overnight stay at Lake Manasarovar offers a truly life-changing spiritual experience in one of the holiest places on earth.

In the morning, we begin this spiritually significant day with a sacred havan puja on the banks of Lake Manasarovar, creating a powerful and peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the Himalayan landscape. Pilgrims also have the opportunity to take a ritual holy dip (deep bath) in the lake, depending on weather conditions and local guidelines, as part of the traditional purification practice.

After completing the morning rituals and breakfast, we take a short and scenic drive of approximately 40 km towards Darchen. The journey is relatively short but deeply meaningful as we gradually move closer to the base of Mount Kailash, one of the most sacred mountains in the world. Upon arrival in Darchen, the main administrative center of the Kailash region, we check into our hotel. Darchen is a small but important settlement with basic infrastructure and serves as the official starting point of the Kailash Kora (circumambulation). It is widely regarded as the base camp of Mount Kailash, where pilgrims prepare for the sacred trek around the holy mountain. The rest of the day is free for rest, acclimatization, and final preparation before beginning the Kora journey. Overnight stay in Darchen.

After an early breakfast in Darchen, we take a short drive of approximately 8 km to Yam Dwar (Yandawar), the sacred gateway and official starting point of the Mount Kailash Kora. Before beginning the trek, pilgrims have time for a short prayer, meditation, and spiritual preparation at the main gate, setting a peaceful and devotional tone for the journey ahead.
 

From Yam Dwar, we begin the sacred circumambulation of Mount Kailash, trekking towards Dirapuk, covering a total walking distance of approximately 12 km. The trail gradually ascends through dramatic landscapes, with stunning views of Mount Kailash appearing throughout the journey, offering moments of deep reflection and spiritual connection. This section of the trek is considered highly sacred and physically demanding due to high altitude. You are advised to walk slowly, stay hydrated, and avoid unnecessary weight. Those who find difficulty in carrying their bags can arrange yaks or horse assistance (optional and not always recommended) to reduce physical strain, especially at higher elevations.

Upon arrival at Dirapuk, located at the north face of Mount Kailash, we check into a basic guesthouse. In the evening, trekkers may enjoy a short walk nearby for sunset views and personal meditation. Overnight stay at Dirapuk.

Today is the most challenging and spiritually powerful day of the Mount Kailash Kora, with a total trekking distance of approximately 15 km. We start early from Dirapuk and ascend gradually towards the highest point of the journey, the sacred Dolma La Pass (5,630m). The climb is steep and demanding, but highly rewarding, offering breathtaking Himalayan views and a deep sense of spiritual accomplishment.

At the top of Dolma La Pass, you will see colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind, symbolizing blessings, peace, and purification. After spending a short moment in reflection, we carefully descend towards the valley below, passing the sacred Gauri Kund, a holy lake associated with Goddess Parvati, where pilgrims often pause for spiritual devotion.

We continue trekking down to Zuthulpuk, the final section of the Kora route. After completing this sacred circumambulation segment, we take a short drive from the base area back to Darchen, avoiding the long road walk for comfort and safety. Upon arrival in Darchen, we check into our hotel and enjoy a well-deserved rest after completing the most significant day of the Kailash pilgrimage.

After breakfast, we begin our long but scenic drive back to Saga, covering a total distance of approximately 485 km. The journey follows well-maintained yet remote Tibetan plateau roads, with a mix of paved and rough high-altitude terrain. The route offers wide-open landscapes, vast grasslands, and dramatic views of distant snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
 

Along the way, you will pass nomadic settlements, grazing yaks, and endless stretches of untouched wilderness, reflecting the raw beauty of Tibet. The road is generally smooth in sections but can be bumpy in higher, remote areas, making the drive adventurous yet comfortable with breaks. This full-day journey is not only about travel but also about enjoying the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere of the Tibetan plateau. Today we drive from Saga to Kyirong, covering a total distance of approximately 160 km. The journey is short but extremely scenic, passing through dramatic high passes, deep valleys, and changing landscapes. On the way, we visit the famous Milarepa Cave, a spiritually significant site associated with Tibetan Buddhist history. As we descend, the dry plateau gradually transforms into lush green forests, rivers, and waterfalls, offering a striking contrast to the previous days’ barren terrain. The drive towards the Nepal border is truly breathtaking. Upon arrival in Kyirong, we check into our hotel for overnight rest.

After an early breakfast in Kyirong, we complete the necessary immigration and customs formalities on both the Tibet (China) and Nepal sides. Once the border procedures are finished, we begin our final drive from Kyirong to Syabrubesi, covering a total distance of approximately 25 km through beautiful green hills, rivers, and forested landscapes as we re-enter Nepal.
 

Upon reaching Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang region, we board a helicopter flight to Kathmandu. This scenic flight offers breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas, deep valleys, and winding mountain rivers, providing a comfortable and time-saving alternative to the long road journey.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your luxury hotel, such as the Marriott, for check-in and relaxation after the long pilgrimage journey. In the evening, we gather for a special farewell dinner, where we celebrate the successful completion of the Kailash tour, share experiences, and provide feedback on the trip.
