Langtang Valley Trek, also known as Glacier Valley trekking is an exclusive opportunity to experience the Himalayan region located very near the capital city, Kathmandu. Out of three different trekking trails in the Langtang region, the Langtang Valley trekking trail is considered the most rewarding trail. Passing through the rhododendron forest of Langtang National Park, the trail along the Langtang River, presents the opportunity to spot extraordinary vegetation, birds, and animals like Danphe (Nepal’s national bird), musk deer, Pika, and monkeys. Moreover, this trek to Langtang Valley is also a great opportunity to get acquainted with Tamang and Sherpa settlements whose lifestyle, culture, and language are highly influenced by Tibetan people.
Yak Cheese Factory, Keynjing Gompa –an old Buddhist monastery, and the panoramic view of Mt. Langtang Ri, Langsisa, Langtang Himal, Ganjala Peak, and Langtang Lirung glacier from Tsergo Ri, are some of the major attractions of this trek. You will also get to enjoy herd of Yaks during the hike to Langtang Valley. Moreover, you will get a chance to explore the first Himalayan National Park of Nepal. 4,984m Tsergo Ri is another attraction of the Langtang trek where you will go on a day trip to experience the wow view of the surrounding peaks and mountains.
Our 11-day Langtang Valley Trek itinerary is the best package that helps you explore the wonders of the Langtang region. Anyone with a moderate physical fitness level and limited time can opt for this trek in Nepal. March-May and September-November are the best months to plan Langtang Valley treks. However, on request, the trek can be planned at any time of the year. This is an easy short trek suitable for everyone.
Our 11-day Langtang Valley Trek starts with a 9-hour drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesni. The hike starting Syabrubensi continues along the Langtang River through the rhododendron forest till Kenjing Gompa, the last Tamang village of the valley. Retracing the same route, the trek ends at Syabrubensi followed by 9 hours bus ride to Kathmandu.
