Overview

Travelers from most parts of the world already know about the historical and cultural background of Nepal. Everywhere you go, you see temples and monuments, and different landmarks which are deeply rooted with the history, culture and the people. And on top of that, the natural heritage of this country is the jewelry which makes everything look good around. As far as we know, many of the tourists coming to the country have visited the capital city and explored most of its landmarks. But besides the capital, there are uncharted regions in Nepal where you will be able to experience the awesomeness of both the natural and cultural heritage.

Amongst the uncharted region, here, we want to let you know about the Far Western region of the country. This region comprises plenty of destinations that give travelers a unique kind of trekking experience. For that reason, we want to introduce you to our Far West Heritage Trail Trek, where one can cover the treasures of the mysterious far Western land in the 19th period.

Well, the Far West Heritage Trail Trek is an extraordinary adventure that takes you on a journey through the remote and rugged landscapes of far-western Nepal. With this journey, you get a one-of-a-kind chance to see the region's incredible natural beauty and rich cultural legacy firsthand. This trip takes you through the isolated and culturally unique terrain of the region which displays the pristine wildness of Khaptad National Park, the scenic highlands of Ramaroshan, and the renowned Badimalika Temple. Moreover, on this journey, you will get to explore alpine meadows, and lush forests, and encounter diverse ethnic communities along the way. Therefore, we are sure that you will experience this fascinating and genuine adventure by immersing yourself in nature, spirituality, and cultural encounters.

Itinerary

We at Trek Ways Nepal extend a warm welcome to Nepal. In order with the arrival time, we will send an official employee to pick you up at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). As he will be waiting for you outside the terminal, you will meet him and he will transport you from the airport to the hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in at the hotel, you will have some time to recover and get ready for the meeting to be held after a while. A brief meeting will be held in our office in the afternoon where you will meet your supervisor and get details about your trip. Your guide will check gars if you allow him. If needed we will organize speeling bag and a down jacket for you.  Overnight stay in the hotel.

3 Star Hotel 

After you have breakfast in the morning at the hotel in Kathmandu, you'll have a while to prepare your belongings. Once everything is ready, a vehicle will take you to the airport so you can board a trip to Dhangadhi. Finally, the airplane transports us to Dhangadhi after a scenic hour and fifteen minutes in flight. After you arrive at Dhangadi, you will again be taken by a private vehicle and dropped off at the hotel. Here, you will relax for a while and some hours later you can go to explore the Jokhar Lake, Botanical Garden, and the Aircraft Museum located nearby the city. All of these places will be visited through cycle rides. After finishing the exploration we will come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today will be used as another day of traveling by bus. You'll travel today to Silgadhi, which is 618 kilometers from Dhangadhi and will take you up to 8 to 9 hours. After breakfast, you'll continue your walk to the train station to board the bus. The bus will start through its meandering route, giving you a chance to explore some of the most picturesque and challenging slopes in the far western region. Continuing, the bus will make a lunch stop in the middle of the road before continuing beyond Dipayal to Silgadhi. After a lengthy journey on the bus, we will eventually arrive at Silghadi in the evening. Once you get here, you'll be taken to one of the lodges which has a secured place for you. You will now have enough time to rest after a lengthy journey before beginning the trek tomorrow.

Today after the filling breakfast here at the lodge, you are fully prepared to start your trek. You'll follow the trail trek that departs from the primary road and soon turns into the trailway as it heads towards Jhingrana. The surrounding view from this trail is mesmerizing to watch as we approach Baghlekh village. This village welcomes us with several lodges and mud houses. After walking for almost 3 hours from Baghlekh you will arrive at Jhingrana

Today we will proceed to Bichpani after having breakfast at Jhingrana. You will pass over hills covered in wildflowers as you approach this settlement. Walking for a while, you will eventually be greeted by the magnificent vistas of the Himalayas from the top of the hill. After enjoying a hearty lunch here at Bichpani, we will go to the Khaptad National Park headquarters. Through stony trails, several meadows, forests, and lakes, it would take you around 8 to 9 hours to reach from Jhingrana to the overnight lodging spot, which is close to Khaptad Army Barrack.

After breakfast, we will follow the path towards Khaptad Daha. It is a lake in the national park that is situated at a height of 3000 meters. Following the exploration of the lake we will head toward the meditation center located in the forest, which also can be called an ashram. You will fully explore this area and go back to the headquarters to have lunch. After relaxing here for a while, you will hike up to the largest pasture of the national park. Finally, following your exploration of the area, you will return to the headquarters to spend the night.

After a brief period of enjoyment, we must descend to have breakfast. After taking a break for a while, you will now ascend to the renowned Khaptad Lake which is situated at the height of 3500m. You will spend some time wandering around the lake while taking in the peaceful atmosphere before coming down to the Kanda village. Here in this village, we will also take you to the historical palace, which is known as Kada Durbar. Overnight at the teahouse in Kanda village.

Today is also gonna be a long trekking day for you. For that reason, you will get up early and have breakfast to eventually head out to Maure. The route today passes through multiple villages like Birarigaon, Tikhada, Juwapani, and Simalkot. Here on the way, You will encounter many friendly folks along the way who will greet you and are eager to engage in discussion with you. You will arrive at Maure sometime in the evening after passing through these friendly communities and crossing the Budhi Ganga River. Overnight at the teahouse in Maure.

Today after having breakfast we will make our way towards Lamgada. Passing on through the steep ascent of about 1000 meters will take you to the Nateshwari temple which will be accompanied by gorgeous views of the surroundings. This temple is one of the holiest temples in the region, so paying a visit will certainly give huge blessings to you guys. After traditionally exploring the temple, you will make your way toward Lamgada which is a pretty simple walk. After you arrive at Lamgada you can chill for a while and explore the locality. Overnight at the teahouse in Lamgada.

Without wasting any time after breakfast, we will today also set out early on the trek. The trek today is also gonna be tiring as you will have to cross most of the uphill paths. But don't worry, the presence of unique natural landscapes will help you to suppress your fatigue in a great way. Also, you will get to witness different breeds of plants and animals here along the route. Making your way through the lovely flora and faunas, you will ascend to the Chankili. Here you won't find any of the teahouses and lodges, which ultimately allow us to spend the night in the tented camp comfortable manner.

having a delightful breakfast we will make our way through pastures and hills. Getting along the way, you will lovely animals grazing in the fields which is a joy to watch. After taking a blessing from the Mighty Badimalika we will make our way down to Tribeni. Leaving the lovely views of the mountains, we have to follow the route to Tribeni. But however, the route allows us to enjoy the view of green fields and the natural landscapes. After almost walking for 4 hours we will arrive at Tribeni. Therefore, we will spend the remaining time exploring its surroundings. Overnight at the tented camp in Tribeni.

Today waking up and getting the adventurous vibe in the woods, we will have breakfast. After having a delightful breakfast we will make our way through pastures and hills. Today after getting up from our camp we will grab some breakfast and head towards the Ramaroshan area which is one of the heritages of this region. Ramaroshan is famous for its 18 pasture lands and 12 wetlands which are reached by hiking for almost 2 hours. Here you could also encounter a variety of Animals and birds including tigers, deer, Kaalij, Daanphe, etc. Further, if you are one the right season you can see the blooming rhododendron flowers covering the hills. Here, after fully exploring and wandering around this site you will spend your night in a homestay.

After the full exploration of the Ramaroshan area, we will come down to Muja Bagar today. While descending you will pass through the forests and riverside with the sound of chirping birds. Accompanied by nature, you will like the journey. Passing through the trail we soon come close to Muja Bagar where paddy fields and villages welcome us. We will stop at one of the villages to have lunch and make our way downwards to Muja Bagar for an overnight stay.

Today is your last day of the trekking journey. After having breakfast you will follow the downwards the Kailash River. Passing by the farmlands and several villages you will eventually make it to Kailash River. After arriving here, you will have lunch here and take some rest until you catch a drive towards Silgadhi. You will go along the river and finally reach Silgadhi to stay overnight.

On this other day of traveling, you will catch a bus from Silgadhi to Dhangadi which will take you about 8 to 9 hours to reach. Early morning you will have breakfast and get ready to take a drive from the bus station. After settling on to it, you will head through the rugged hallways of the far western region. In the midst of the route, we will stop at one of the hotels to have lunch. Further, enjoy the different hilly landscapes of the region, you will arrive at Dhangadi to stay overnight.

Today we will be leaving the Terai region and heading towards the capital city. After having breakfast in this decent hotel in Dhangadi, you'll head towards Dhangadi airport to catch a scenic flight to Kathmandu. On this 1hr 15 minutes flight, you will be enthralled by the scenes of all three Terai, Hilly, and Himalayan regions of the country. Enjoying the flight you will finally land at Kathmandu and then eventually we will transfer you to the hotel. After checking in at the hotel, you can explore the city or check out the famous markets. Spending the day in the city as per your choice and you will come to stay overnight at the hotel.

Your lovely excursion to the Far Western region has finally come to an end today, which means you will bid farewell to this wonderful alpine nation. That said, a friendly representative will take you to the terminal at Kathmandu International Airport three hours prior to takeoff. He will say you farewell and wish you luck in the future, as this as your last moment in this nation. We hope that you'll think about traveling to Nepal soon when you get home.
