Overview

Most trekkers coming to Nepal do not keep an eye on the far-western region for trekking. The center west and eastern regions of the nation are the most popular destinations for trekkers. To be honest, the far western region of Nepal also has a lot to offer for trekkers. In this region, you can find pristine sites and natural attractions that go through the off-beaten path and rugged trails. Among many of them, the Rara Lake trek is one of the most interesting treks in Western Nepal. The trek leads you to the remote Karnali regions around Jumla and Mugu.

The most intriguing aspect of this trek is that it passes by Rara Lake, the largest lake in the nation. Surprisingly, it happens to be in the nation's smallest national park. The sights and landscape along the paths on this trip happen to be especially different from those in other regions of the nation. The lake, which is slightly above sea level, is encircled by stunning pine, spruce, and juniper trees. Along with the lake's allure and beauty, it also represents the region's equal importance of its flora and wildlife. The 1070 plant species found there, including rhododendron, fir, birch, blue pine, spruce, juniper, and Himalayan cypress make this trek one of the most amazing experiences you can take on. Also, you can find three species of fish, 241 species of birds, two species of reptiles and amphibians, and 51 species of mammals in this region.

Well, the trek begins with a flight to Nepalgunj and then on to Jumla. Starting our trek, we will head on through the paths toward Chere Chaur and Chalachaur ultimately arriving at Sinja Valley and Rara Lake. After exploring the lake we descend to beautiful villages like Pina, Burma, and Jumla. Trekking through these paths, we will also explore passes like Ghurchi Lagna Pass (3480m) and Danphe Lagna Pass (3691m). Finally, we will return to Jumla and catch two flights, first to Nepaljung and finally to Kathmandu.

He will welcome you courteously and take you to the hotel where you will reside for the day. As soon as you've checked in, you may relax and settle down in your hotel room. After spending a considerable amount of time at the hotel, you will need to be prepared for the trip briefing at our office. We will talk about the details of our Rara Lake trek during this quick meeting. Throughout the entire conversation, you are invited to ask any questions you may have. After this session, my guide will check your gear and suggest you if you need any additional gear. If so,  you can go to a shop near by. Overnight in the hotel.
